Protect Your Township with Cybersecurity Grants for Local Governments – Deadline Extended to Wednesday, 11/27

The Commonwealth has extended the deadline for the 2023 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP). SLCGP funds can be used towards several cybersecurity initiatives. Townships may be especially interested in Security Awareness Services through Cofense. This initiative provides employee training on cybersecurity best practices, including simulated phishing emails to explain best practices on identifying scams and hacks that will help protect the township from attacks.

Additional SLCGP cybersecurity initiatives include Security Incident and Event Management software to help identify, monitor, and analyze security events and incidents; Asset Intelligence providing protection for connected township devices; and Intrusion Detection Sensors that monitor systems placed on township networks to identify attacks, alert key personnel, and report nationally on coordinated attacks.

Click here to learn more. Townships are eligible to apply through November 27, 2024 via the electronic Single Application for Assistance and a 30% match is required. Questions can be directed to the Commonwealth’s Cybersecurity Planning Committee at slcgp-pa@pa.gov
